Tetra Tech provided full A-E services for design of this facility which included a 4,576 sm (51,000 sf) maintenance and repair hangar that can accommodate up to 4 helicopters; a 2,025 sm (22,000 sf) helicopter pad to support a CH-47 Chinook helicopter; a 23,075 sm (250,000 sf) parking apron and taxiway, and associated infrastructure. Other project elements included a High Expansion Foam (HEF) fire suppression system, pavement evaluation using PCASE program, power source derived by generator for normal and 100% stand-by power, and completion of the 99% design package within 2.5 months of NTP.
